Got myself a new Gateway laptop for school, it has some pretty good specs, but probably its best attribute is the look of the desktop. :)

Got the wallpaper here and of course had to customize it with two graphics programs. ;)

neato, the cpu is probably one of intel's newer ones, they are just excellent for fractal rendering -- unfortunately not apophysis' because zueuk replaced the delphi with an old type of assembly language :no:

however, about the screen: those 16:10 widescreen ones are excellent, and have quite a following. for example my widescreen renders all cleanly resize to your desktop res, and 1440x900, 1680x1050, etc. there's even an insane 2560x1600!

I actually love it so far, I don't really have a million things on it, nor do I run games, so the basic look and internet performance are all that matter to me, both of which are great.

I've noticed that Apophysis is a little slower on my laptop, but I just wanted to still be able to at least run it every now and then if I get bored. Might put Fractal Explorer on it as well, I've had some fun with that program too.
